Mathematics Vision Statement
The Prince William County Schools Mathematics program promotes an environment in which students develop a comprehensive and enduring understanding of the concepts of mathematics. Students learn to effectively apply these concepts and use a variety of problem solving strategies. The program nurtures a productive disposition toward mathematics, challenges all learners and supports further investigations in this field.

Registration Now Open for the PWCS Elementary Professional Educators' Conferences for Kindergarten through Grade 2

The Department of Student Learning and Accountability is announcing open registration for the 2016 PWCS Elementary Professional Educators' Conference for Kindergarten through Grade 2 Teachers. The conference theme is "Exploring the Power of Literacy."  These conferences are a collaborative effort among the Offices of Student Learning, Professional Learning, Special Education, and English Learner Programs and Services.

Key Information:
Conference Date: August 23, Time: 8:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
  • Locations:  Ashland Elementary and Glenkirk Elementary
    Participants select the site of their choosing. The programs are different at each location.
     
  • Audience: K-2 teachers and specialists serving those grades
     
  • Registration:  limited to 300 participants at each location
