Half-Day Math Training (MAT 285) Scheduled
These half-day sessions are required for all elementary teachers who are new to PWCS and are in addition to the Summer Math Workshop that they also attended. The purpose of these half-day sessions is to prepare our teachers new to PWCS for the upcoming units and to assist them in planning for them. Resources to support these units are also provided to teachers who attend these sessions. Registration for MAT 285 has opened in the Professional Learning Online Catalog. Click here for the schedule for dates and session information for each grade level.
Mathematics Professional Development Offerings
The Math Office is offering both 3-credit and 1-credit graduate level course offerings which support teachers who are intersted in learning how to assess students' understanding of mathematical concepts as well as strategies to support the development of enduring understanding of mathematics in the elementary grades. Courses are being offered both fall and spring semester. Some of these courses are appropriate for middle school teachers needing support with intervention or remediation. Tuition and all materials are FREE for any PWCS educator. See this flyer for details.
